Get in the Van Productions began with a handful of friends who wanted to make more theatre opportunities for more people. As we grow, we want even more people to be part of deciding what that future can look like—and helping make it possible.

Our membership is a way to support that work and stay connected to the company as it develops. Whether you’ve performed with us, taken a workshop, come to a show, or just like what we’re trying to do, we’d love to have you alonng for the ride.

WHAT MEMBERS RECEIVE

Along with supporting the work, members receive:

Early announcements about upcoming productions, programs, and events.
Early access to ticket booking.
Early registration opportunities for classes, workshops, and community events.

You can stay involved in whatever way fits your interests and your time. Come learn something, help make a show, meet people at an event, or enjoy the work from the audience.

We’re still growing, and there’s a plenty of room in the van. Get in, and helps us navigate the next adventure.

WHY MEMBERSHIP MATTERS

Productions take months to prepare, and the work continues between shows. There are scripts to find and translate, spaces to book, equipment to maintain, classes to organize, and people with ideas who need the resources and support to try them.

Membership helps us build a more consistent foundation for that work. Annual dues contribute to our productions, education programs, and community activities, helping us plan ahead and keep participation affordable.

Just as importantly, we want to build an ongoing community around Get in the Van. People who care about the stories we tell, the opportunities we create, and who gets to be part of them. A growing membership helps us understand who we’re serving and demonstrate the community support behind our work as we pursue funding, partnerships, and opportunities to develop the organization.

We also want to show people that we are here and that there are people who deeply care about the work that we do. As a registered nonprofit organization, our official roster is a concrete way to show governmental, public, and private organizations that our community is serious. We understand that getting that kind of recognition as a community with a large expat population is hard, and we are dedicated to making it happen.

WHAT WE WANT TO BUILD

We want someone who first joins us as an audience member or event to feel comfortable trying a workshop, helping backstage, or bringing us an idea of their own. Membership is one way to help us keep creating those possibilities.
