EMMA

by Kate Hamill

based on the novel by Jane Austen

Matchmaking, meddling, and spectacularly misplaced confidence collide in Kate Hamill's fast-moving adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma.

Get in the Van's production of Hamill's playful, contemporary take on the classic novel highlighted the feminist messaging that the problems women faced in the past and in the present haven't really changed all that much.

THINGS I KNOW TO BE TRUE

Love, expectation, and the complicated bonds of family collide as Bob and Fran Price watch their four adult children build lives of their own. Andrew Bovell's intimate family drama became Get in the Van's first-ever production, marking the beginning of our work bringing contemporary international theatre to the stage in Seoul.

Every Get in the Van production is performed in English with Korean subtitles, bringing Korean and international audiences into the same theatrical experience. Whether or not a production has an official translation, we translate every script to match exactly how the actors perform and deliver their lines.
